Liber Coming soon

Terms

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms are between you and Lucas Paraizo, the independent developer who makes Liber ("we"). By using Liber you agree to them, together with Apple's standard licence for apps from the App Store, which governs your licence to the app itself. Your rights as a consumer under UK law are not affected.

The free plan and Liber Plus

Liber is free for up to 100 books, your wishlist included. Liber Plus has room for every book you own, imports a Goodreads library of any size and syncs between your iPhones. It is sold through the App Store as a monthly or yearly subscription, or once for good.

If you stop paying for Plus, nothing you've added is deleted. You can keep reading, rating and lending all of it; adding more books past the free limit, and sync, wait for Plus.

Your library

What you add to Liber (your books, notes, ratings and photos) is yours. Keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose: your library lives on your phone, and on our server only if you turn on sync.

Your sync key

Sync uses a key instead of an account. It is the only way into a synced library, and it's yours to keep safe: we never see it and can't recover it. Anyone who has your key can open your synced library, so share it only with your own devices.

Book information and shops

Titles, authors, covers, sizes and page counts come from public catalogues and may be incomplete or wrong; you can correct them in the app. Get it opens a shop's website, and what you buy there is between you and the shop. Liber may earn a commission on those purchases, at no cost to you.

Fair use

Please don't misuse Liber or its server: no attempts to break, overload or get around how it works, and nothing you add that you don't have the right to.

Changes and availability

We keep improving Liber and may change or retire features. We'll say so in the app before anything you've paid for changes in a way that matters. Liber is provided as it is, and as far as the law allows we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for losses beyond what you've paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
